Fine Art Printing ~ Images & Dreams Photography Darwin

The newest addition to our studio is a Epson 7900 Pro large format printer, offering all standard print sizes from 8x12" up to 24" x 36" and longer. The printer features a larger colour gamut for improved tonal variations and colour graduations, what does this mean to you? We now can offer you poster sized 610mm x 915mm photographic prints on choice of hand selected media.
To complement our new printer we have handpicked a range of media surfaces for you to have your wedding photographs printed on. This includes gloss, semi-gloss, matt, canvases and the most exciting our Fine Art Metals range. Each of these different surfaces have individual textures and tonality making each one different from the next.
We work in a colour managed workflow and have custom profiled every media surface to ensure what we see on screen is what is printed for you.
The handpicked media surfaces we offer for print in your package includes;
Metal Surfaces - Reflective surfaces from behind the ink with different tonality.
Matt Surfaces - Traditional Non-reflective surfaces with different textures and tonality.
Semi-Gloss Surfaces - Diffused reflective surfaces and tonality.
Gloss Surfaces - Medium level reflective surfaces and tonality.
Canvas Surfaces - Woven material matt surface.
Fine Art Metals Gold Satin - Smooth Gloss Surface
Satin Gold plated aluminum has the appearance of a cross between 24k gold and brass. The underlying colour mutes saturated colour photographs but lends itself very well to black and white. It also works well with de-saturated photography. There is a very fine grain structure to this metal, which allows for a detailed image.
Fine Art Metals Silver Satin - Smooth Gloss Surface
Satin Silver can transform photography, due to the fact that the surface has a true lustre giving it a gloss look. The ink sits on top of the metal, as with all of these metals, but the Satin Silver reflects light back through the ink more so than any of the other metals. The Satin Silver gives an appearance of Ilfochrome because the image appears to be jumping off of the metal surface. There is a very fine grain structure to this metal, which allows for a detailed image.
Fine Art Metals Brushed Silver - Smooth Gloss Surface
Brushed Silver is less reflective than Satin Silver and has the appearance of a grain like structure - great for photographs with patterns and textures.
Fine Art Metals Matt Silver - Smooth Gloss Surface
Under certain lights, Matte Silver gives a yellowish appearance. The light reflects back through the ink on the matt surface, giving a more subdued look. The Matte Silver is great for images that require detail without the appearance of the image lifting off of the metal surface.
