How do I make a booking?

Please contact us to confirm if your wedding date is available. If the date is free we can arrange for a free wedding consultation, during this consultation we will go over what is included in our photography packages. We will show you examples of our range of Fine Art Papers, Metals & Canvas, along with wedding albums and examples of complete weddings. We will discuss a wedding timeline including ceremony, intended locations and any special requirements for your wedding photography. If you decide to book us for your wedding photography, we will require a $300 deposit and signed wedding contract to secure your day. This deposit will be deducted from your total package amount which is due no latter then four weeks prior to the wedding date.

How many photographs will we take on the wedding day?

We capture on average about 500-1500 photographs at each wedding, depending on how long we have been booked for. Your final DVD will include approximately 100 photographs per hour of wedding photography.

Why does it take so long to get our photographs, when other photographers are advertising prints or digital media will be available the following week?

Jacque & Craig shoot hundreds of pictures at each wedding; as such it takes a little bit longer to sort, catalogue and retouch your photographs. Every photo that we shoot is retouched to achieve the best results possible for colour and tonal accuracy. Some photographers advertising quick turnaround times just take the images out of the camera and put them on a CD and send them to their local lab for printing with little regard for colour accuracy or any retouching. At Images & Dreams Photography we have a strict colour management system in place to ensure colour accuracy from the camera all the way through to output including printing and high resolution digital files.

When will we see our wedding photographs?

Your photographs will available to view online within 4-6 weeks after your wedding day. Once we have finished retouched your photographs we will upload them onto our website in a private gallery with a secure password, this enables you and your selected family and friends to view your wedding photographs from anywhere in the world. People you share the link with have the opportunity to purchase their own copies of individual photographs at varying sizes. Along with your online portfolio you will receive a DVD slideshow and screensaver in a custom designed case. After choosing your selected photographs they will be printed, framed and ready for collection within 4 weeks after your order is submitted. Please Note; seasonal demands my increase printing and framing time. If you have booked an album once the photographs have been retouched we will move straight into designing your album according to your style, tastes and budget. Album design should take around 2 weeks and after final approval it is off to Albums Australia for manufacturing. As not every computer monitor is colour calibrated these online images will not necessarily depict the final colours and brightness of your photographs.

Do we offer albums?

At Images & Dreams Photography Studio we use Australia’s leading wedding albums maker Albums Australia. We design your album using a custom album design program which has over 14,000 different combinations available from page layout, timber, metal or leather covers. As well as material options Albums Australia offers two different styles of albums Magazine Album and the Matrix Designer album. Be assured they have something to suit your taste and budget. Please look over our Images & Dreams Photography Wedding Album Design page for all the options. The more information you can provide us about the style & options you would like the easier and faster the process will be.

What are the main advantages of hiring a professional wedding photographer?

Professional wedding photographers will have all the right modern equipment (with backups) including modern camera backs, professional series lenses and external flashes. Most important of all they will know how to use it. A lot of people are trying to cash in on the low cost of modern photography equipment with what the industry calls "shoot & burn". These amateurs may undercut professional photographers, but their lack of professional knowledge will be evident when they hand you a disc with your photographs on it the following day. These people should be avoided at all costs to, it just isn't worth the price.

How can I help the photographer on the wedding day?

One of the main things is to help the photographer organise people. The photographer does not know everyone’s name and will need someone’s help to assemble people for the group shots. It would be best if someone is designated to organise everyone. An important thing to remember is to give us time to take quality shots. It’s not to anyone’s benefit if the wedding photography is rushed. There should be ample time allotted for the formal and bridal party photography.
